Denton, Maryland

A specially scheduled meeting of the County Commissioners of Caroline County, Maryland, convened at 11:10 a.m., in the Hearing Room, Courthouse, Denton.

Attending: John W. Cole, President

Roger L. Layton, Vice President

Richard P. Barton, County Administrator

Absent: Jefferson L. Ghrist, Commissioner

President Cole stated that the special meeting had been called in order for the Commissioners to consider Resolution #2009-037, Authorization of Project Financing through the State of Maryland, Department of Business and Economic Development, for the Ridgely Business and Technology Park.

The Commissioners welcomed Ernie Crofoot, County Attorney, who explained that the Resolution reimburses the County for expenses related to the construction of the Mid-Shore Regional (Ridgely) Business and Technology Park. He stated that mentioned in the Resolution were three additional documents, which also require signature: the Amended and Restated Investment Agreement, the Amendment to the Deed of Trust, and a Request for Disbursement of the funds.

On motion by Mr. Layton and seconded by President Cole, the Commissioners approved signature on Resolution #2009-037 and the accompanying documents listed above.

The funds just recently became available for reimbursement and the special meeting was called in order to allow the County to access those funds as quickly as possible. Once the decision was made to hold a special meeting, the local newspaper was informed, a notice and agenda was posted online and on the door of the Courthouse, and was also emailed to the usual distribution list for such notices.

There being no further business, the Commissioners adjourned their meeting at 11:16 a.m.
